How Does a Travel Agent Get Paid – Why Leave Commissions on the Table?

How Does a Travel Agent Get Paid what’s up everybody Larry Porter here
and we are back once again back with majestic travel and in today’s video
we’re going to talk about the Commission is already built in looking sites like
booking.com Expedia Travelocity or TripAdvisor
you do not want to miss this we’ll be right back all right welcome back so this is how
travel agents get paid so I want to share something with you all today any
type of transaction dealing with a vacation booking or a cruise anything
like that the Commission is already built in okay
well you are a travel agent or not or just a consumer somebody is going to get
a commission where they goes back to Expedia TripAdvisor Travelocity or
Carnival or whatever the case may be that commission price is already built
in so here’s what I recommend doing okay if you’re doing the work and like I said
you putting together your vacation How Does a Travel Agent Get Paid packages for your friends family etc
you’re doing the legwork you’re doing the research and you’re putting together
cruise is all this good stuff because you’re the family go-to person for that
somebody get that Commission whether it be you or Expedia and Priceline Carnival
whoever the case may be it’s already included in somebody getting it so it
just makes sense why leave money on the table if you’re doing the work now I’m
not talking to everybody I’m talking to those who are actually doing the work
but are not travel agent so think about it let’s say you putting together a
cruise and the Commission and the Commission that’s built into the price
is four hundred and thirty five dollars something like that well you already did
the work why not become a certified travel agent and get there four hundred
and thirty five dollars first is it going back to carnival or roca ripping
or whatever cruise line you know in this example so you’re doing the legwork why
not get paid so I just want to encourage about it that’s how the travel agents
get paid we get paid for booking putting together packages now a lot of
people are already doing this but they’re not getting paid okay now if you
put now let’s say for example you are one that wants is putting together your
own personal travel using Priceline Expedia Travelocity or whatever the case
may be guess what somebody’s stealing that
commission however if you’re not a travel agent
you’re leaving money on the table why not get a commission back from your own
personal travel that’s so you putting together cruise for yourself and the
commission there’s three hundred three hundred dollars why not get three
hundred dollars back you’re already looking at you you’re already going to
work anyway so it only makes sense to become a travel agent and get some of
that money back so I want to encourage How Does a Travel Agent Get Paid you all out there today become travel
agents if you’re doing a lot of legwork if you’re doing research if you’re
putting together packages if you’re booking yourself why not become travel
agents and save your clients money okay give money back from your
classification as well as in addition to getting money back from your own
personal travel so it only makes sense so I have a free presentation that I
