we spent five weeks in Guatemala and it remains our most favorite country of Central America Tikal is one of the most impressive Maya ruins it history dates back to 4th century before Christ and at its prime it dominated most of Maya region 3 kilometres earlier we were down there thanks to our service traffic features we decided to climb up to the plateau of Sierra della scuola Tana’s we made it to the plateau sierra de las montañas it is the highest known volcanic mountain range in Central America with its highest peak of three thousand and eight hundred meters the plateau lies at around three thousand meters it was freezing while we kept up there but a local family made it easier with a basket full of hot goodness [Music] [Applause] [Music] what an ally is definitely most colorful country in Central America each region has its own distinctive clothing patterns and colors [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] then we move to the southwest of the country where lago atitlan is located for a great showing good morning [Music] [Applause] [Music] it’s surrounded by three volcanoes and it’s filling an enormous caldera formed by an eruption eighty-four thousand years ago [Music] we had a good time chillin there in San Marcos Panna hotel and we visited also thermal springs at Santa Catarina Paulo mode which we’re and so norm as expected at Atlanta is very good for drinking [Applause] [Music] hiking to the summit of acatenango volcano camping up there and seeing juega erupting is the highlight of our time in Guatemala this is tough part for all of us even the dogs [Music] [Music]
