Sea of clouds from Chaukori Chaukori KMVN cottages KMVN Rest House campus Chaukori is a village near Berinag in the Pithoragarh district set among the lofty peaks, of the western Himalayan Range Chaukori’s elevation is around 6700 ft Chaukori provides spectacular panoramic views of the snowy peaks of Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot and the Panchchuli group Views of the KMVN Rest House from road near the sunset point The location of the KMVN rest house is superb It provides spectacular views of the surroundings We have started our journey from Chaukori towards Thal This is the first week of March Winter is not over yet We can feel the chill in the air We have passed Thal and now moving towards Nachani The road goes along the Ramganga River The water in the river is taking different shades of green as we are moving upsteam along it The altitude of Thal is under 2000 ft and Nachani is not much higher either so the journey seems like a flat one with a low ascent on a distance of more than 13 km
